2024 Player Outlook
Noah Fant had another middling year in 2023, recording only 32 receptions for 414 yards. And he didn't score a single touchdown. Former OC Shane Waldron loved rotating his tight ends and, with him, Will Dissly, and Colby Parkinson all gone, Fant now has the job to himself. But he also needs to contend with DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba for targets so his upside is likely capped without multiple injuries.
Player News
Noah Fant caught 5-of-6 targets for 63 yards and a touchdown in the Seahawks’ Week 18 win against the Rams.
It was Fant’s first and only touchdown of the season as the main pass-catching tight end for a pass-first Seattle offense. It was a disappointing campaign for Fant, who commanded a meager 11 percent target share and was often overtaken by AJ Barner in the season’s final month. Fant, 27, is signed through the 2025 season. It would be surprising if the perennial bust were to function as the team’s No. 1 tight end in 2025.
Noah Fant caught 4-of-5 targets for 43 yards in the Seahawks’ Week 17 win over the Bears.
Noah Fant caught 3-of-6 targets for 50 yards in the Seahawks’ Week 16 loss against the Vikings.
It marked the fourth highest receiving yardage total of the season for Fant, who logged a pass route on 37 of the Seahawks’ 48 drop backs and functioned as a short-area dump off target for Geno Smith. AJ Barner, meanwhile, caught a fourth quarter touchdown and ran eight routes. With only three games with more than three receptions in 2024, Fant will be a deep-league-only option in Week 17 against the Bears.
Noah Fant (knee) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 16 against the Vikings.
Fant resumed practicing in full on Thursday so he should be fairly healthy for this one. Fant has been an unreliable producer as of late and makes for a boom/bust TE1 against the Vikings’ mid-tier tight end-coverage unit.
