Ace Sanders
Player News
Ace Sanders was suspended 10 games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy on Monday.
Without a team to call home right now, it is unclear how Sanders will serve his suspension. It would make the most sense that his suspension would kick in once a team takes a chance on him. Expect an appeal coming soon.
Ace Sanders went unclaimed off waivers and is now a free agent.
A 2013 fourth round pick, Sanders caught 51 passes his rookie year and dropped all the way down to six receptions last season. The fact that no team took a chance on a receiver making the league minimum for the next two seasons is not a great sign for Sanders and his chances to get a real look from a team. He also has a suspension on his record that he served last year for violating the league substance abuse policy.
Jaguars have released WR Ace Sanders.
A month ago at OTA's Sanders was drawing rave reviews from a Jags beat reporter, but now Sanders finds himself unemployed. Rashad Greene has the inside track on the Jags slot receiver job.
Jaguars activated WR Ace Sanders to the 53-man roster.
Sanders was serving a four-game suspension to open the year but is now eligible to return. Given the injuries the Jaguars receiving corps has endured, Sanders could actually be a bit of a facotr this week. Not so much that you play him, but enough to make you think about future use.
