2025 Player Outlook
An abysmal start to the season earned Torkelson a trip back to the minors, but things were better upon his return to the big leagues. Over his last 151 plate appearances of the season, Torkelson slashed .248/.338/.444 with six home runs, six doubles, and 19 RBI. The walk rate was strong upon his return, but the same can't be said for his strikeout rate, as he struck out 32.5 percent of the time (24.3 K% prior to his demotion). Admittedly, I don't love his ADP at this juncture, but it was just two years ago in 2023 when he swatted 31 home runs with a .446 SLG. The talent is there, but the consistency has eluded him, making him a high-ish risk, high reward pick.
