Andrés Giménez was removed from Wednesday’s game against the Angels with right quad tightness.
It sounds like a precautionary measure. There should be an update on his status prior to Thursday’s series finale out in Los Angeles.
Andrés Giménez left Wednesday’s game against the Angels with a potential injury.
Giménez appeared to suffer some sort of leg injury while legging out a bunt hit in the seventh inning. He managed to remain in the contest initially, but was replaced by Addison Barger at second base in the bottom of the frame. There should be an update on his status following the contest.
Andrés Giménez went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run scored in a loss to the Guardians on Sunday.
Giménez is slashing just .190/.272/.298 on the season and has been moved to ninth in the batting order. The Blue Jays just acquired him this offseason and are paying him a lot of money, so he’s going to remain in the lineup, but it’s been hard to hold onto him in shallow fantasy leagues.
Andrés Giménez went 0-for-4 on Wednesday to finish the series agonist the Braves 0-for-11.
Maybe he’s not a cleanup hitter. Giménez has gone eight straight games without an RBI. He hit three homers in the Jays’ five games in March, but since April started, he’s come in at .157/.241/.176 in 14 games. On the plus side, he did steal his sixth base today.
