Cal Quantrill yielded four runs over 5 1/3 innings but still picked up a win against the Mariners on Friday.
Cal Quantrill was lit up for seven runs in 3 1/3 innings by the Phillies on Saturday.
Quantrill is the first starting pitcher this year to give up at least seven runs and strike out none. The last time a Marlins starter did it was David Hess at Coors Field in 2021. Quantrill is now 1-2 with an 8.31 ERA, but his rotation spot probably isn’t in any jeopardy just yet. He has an easier matchup against the Mariners in Seattle next time out, but even so, he’d be a weak streaming option.
Cal Quantrill allowed three runs in five innings and got a no-decision in the Marlins’ 11-4 victory over the Nationals on Sunday.
Cal Quantrill tossed five shutout innings Saturday in a win against the Braves.
Best lineup in baseball, for sure. Quantrill got just three missed swings tonight, but he wound up with four strikeouts, and he didn’t walk any of the 17 batters he faced. He’ll take a 1-1 record and a 6.00 ERA into his next start versus the Nationals.
