Gerrit Cole will undergo season-ending Tommy John surgery.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters that Gerrit Cole (elbow) is in Los Angeles to meet with Dr. Neal ElAttrache.

According to Jim Bowden of The Athletic, it has been recommended that right-hander Gerrit Cole undergo Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery.

Yankees GM Brian Cashman told reporters he’s “prepared for the worst” regarding Gerrit Cole’s elbow injury.
