Giancarlo Stanton (elbows) continues to hit off a high-velocity pitching machine.
It remains unclear how much progress Stanton is making towards potentially returning to New York’s lineup at some point later this season. Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters that he’s starting to move around a bit more outside, for whatever that’s worth. The 35-year-old veteran has been dealing with ongoing issues in both of his elbows and remains out indefinitely for now.
Yankees placed DH/OF Giancarlo Stanton on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to March 24, with right and left elbow epicondylitis.
Stanton remains shut down completely from baseball activities and it’s unclear whether he’ll return at all this year. The 35-year-old slugger has already received three rounds of PRP injections in an effort to address ongoing issues in both of his elbows. Fantasy managers should anticipate a lengthy absence here.
Giancarlo Stanton (elbows) remains shut down from baseball activities.
Yankees general manager Brian Cashman told reporters it’s “too early to tell” if three rounds of PRP injections have led to improvement with Stanton’s elbows. The 35-year-old has been completely shut down from baseball activities and remains without a clear return timetable.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters Monday that Giancarlo Stanton (elbows) is “doing more” in his rehab.
Boone wouldn’t provide specifics, which isn’t frustrating at all. Stanton has injuries to both elbows that are considered “severe” and that if he does need to undergo operation, it would be season-ending. The Yankees are hopeful he can rehab his way back into the lineup, but fantasy managers cannot count on him being a producer in 2025.
