Welcome to the DFS Dart Board for NFL Week 15!
If you're new to Fantasy Alarm/DFS Alarm, the Dart Board is an add-on to the Playbook that I started three or four seasons ago. It came about when I was building GPP lineups and realized I needed more salary relief. As I dug through my notes to see who stood out the most among those players at a more affordable price, it hit me. When I put players in the Playbook, I am thinking primarily about cash lineup plays -- guys with a high floor who I could conceivably put into my core-group and build a lineup around. After those players, I would mix in a handful of guys who had boatloads of upside and were in soft match-ups, but I wasn’t paying as much attention to their salary as I should have. And that's where the Dart Board came into play.
Every now and then, when building lineups while using particular stacks, you need some salary relief. You need a guy who may not be minimally priced, but low enough to give you the flexibility you need to get someone like Dalvin Cook or DK Metcalf in as a flex play or something. Occasionally you may see a min-priced QB or TE in here, but more often than not, this space is reserved for running backs and wide receivers who are $5,500 and lower on FanDuel or like $5,000 or lower on Draft Kings.
Now while we call this a Dart Board, keep in mind that every player has been carefully researched. We're not up here picking players all willy-nilly, desperately hoping they hit. We're looking for the cheapest bargains possible who still have the strongest potential to give you at least a 3-5x return on what you pay.
I will say this – the Dart Board is going to be pretty light this week as we only have nine games on the main slate and a number of pay-down wideouts actually made the Playbook. Still, there may be a nugget or two to be found.

RB | Michael Carter | ARI @ DET Sun 1:00 | 4700 | 5900 |
The Jets are expected to activate Carter from IR for this game and reports out of Jets camp say they expect him to have a significant role this week against the Dolphins. He was both the lead rusher and a big part of the passing game before he hurt his ankle and, unless they are limiting his workload, it seems like the wise move to continue down that earlier path. Miami's run defense is allowing just over 103 rushing yards per game and they've allowed 10 rushing touchdowns, so if you can grab Carter for your flex, he could pay big dividends. Game Type: GPP Weather: Mostly sunny
WR | Allen Lazard | NYJ @ MIA Sun 1:00 | 4000 | 5300 |
Lazard saw seven targets in the Packers first game after the bye and turned them into six grabs for 75 yards and a touchdown. He'll continue to compete for work with Marquez Valdes-Scantling, but his performance last week is something Aaron Rodgers tends to build off of in subsequent weeks. With the Ravens secondary in shambles right now, Lazard should be able to carry his momentum into this week and turn out solid effort for the second-straight week. Game Type: CASH & GPP Weather: Mostly cloudy
WR | Nico Collins | HOU @ JAC Sun 1:00 | 3500 | 5300 |
This becomes an interesting play because a lot of people are turning to the rookie after he saw 10 targets in last week's loss to the Seahawks. Does he continue to see that type of a workload or does he go back to the three targets per game average he was rocking beforehand? Given that it's the Jaguars secondary, a defensive unit that ranks 31st in DVOA against the pass, and his extremely affordable price, it's worth a look. Game Type: GPP Weather: Cloudy
WR | Albert Wilson | LV @ CLE Mon 5:00 | 3400 | 5000 |
From complete obscurity to 23 targets over his last four games, Wilson is starting to stand out a little bit more here at the closing of the season. He sees most of his work out of the slot, but with no Jaylen Waddle, he could see some more outside work as well. Not a problem as the Jets corners have been horrible in coverage and they rank 29th and 30th against the opposing WR2 and slot receiver. Could be a real nice way to save salary, especially in a contrarian stack against the Jets. Game Type: GPP Weather: Sunny |
